Sustainable Building
Energy effects all facets of building design, construction, and operation, from drawing the initial plans to installing light bulbs, equipment, and appliances. Energy use over the lifespan of a building may be the single most important environmental and economic issue to address in building ownership. Excessive fossil-fuel energy used to heat, cool, light, and power buildings results in significant environmental impact at a local as well as global scale, and unnecessarily increases the building's annual operating and maintenance costs. Energy efficiencies can be gained in the design, construction, and operation phases of a building's lifespan.
LCG takes pride in employing products, partners and practices that are dedicated to sustainable building. Our team and partners have vast experience and knowledge in energy-responsible products and systems that can benefit any project - whether it be through drawing upon our expertise as consultants, our continued effort to improve system performance or, once on the job, ensuring that the project meets new government energy codes, ASHRAE and NFRC standards, as well as desired LEED certification.
Some of the many solutions LCG can offer to improve the energy performance of a building include; Providing systems that can be made from 100% recycled aluminum, using high-performance thermally-broken systems, triple-glazing, providing three Low-E coatings on a single glass unit and offering rainscreen panel systems that work in accordance with new Utah energy codes.
